Canvas Wall Tents — Built for the Demands of the Outdoors

Handcrafted to meet the rugged standards of professional outfitters, guides, and serious outdoorsmen, Elk Horn Wall Tents are trusted from coast to coast — and all the way through Canada and Alaska. Each tent is built to withstand heavy use, high winds, and extreme weather conditions, offering a level of durability and craftsmanship that only decades of experience can deliver. Reinforced from ridge to base, with double-stitched corners and heavy canvas construction, these tents are made to perform season after season in the toughest backcountry environments.

Our standard wall tent features set the benchmark for quality and usability in the field. Every tent includes a true five-foot wall, 4-inch eaves, sod flaps, zippered doors, guy ropes with tighteners, and a canvas storage bag. Stove jacks are made from siliconized fiberglass sewn with Kevlar thread, positioned to your order, and available in 4", 5", or 6" sizes. Whether you prefer traditional ridge poles or internal frame setups, each Elk Horn Tent is built with versatility in mind.

Additional weatherproofing details make all the difference when conditions turn rough. A double-reinforced 7-inch lap extends the full length of the door opening, with ties every 16 inches to create a tight, reliable seal. All seams are double-lock stitched, and a self-healing zipper is sewn into the inner flap to reduce heat loss and block out wind and moisture. Every tent is more than a shelter — it’s a trusted partner built to protect, perform, and endure wherever your adventures take you.

“I've camped in a lot of wall tents, and my Elk Horn Tent is the best I've used. It's well designed, well built and rugged. I have complete faith in it, no matter how bad the conditions are."

Tent Conditioning & Ordering Information

For optimal performance and longevity, we recommend conditioning your new Elk Horn Wall Tent before your first outing. To do this, set up your tent outdoors with all eave ropes and walls properly staked. Using a garden hose, lightly soak the entire tent, allow it to dry completely, and repeat this process once or twice more. This simple step helps the natural canvas fibers swell and seal, tightening the weave for superior weather resistance.

If you’re unable to precondition your tent, make sure to leave the eave ropes slightly loose during your first exposure to rain or snow. As the fabric naturally tightens, it will form its own perfect weatherproof seal.

You can choose from a range of standard wall tent sizes or work with our team to custom-build a tent to your exact specifications. All tents are available in two rugged, field-proven fabrics designed to perform in demanding environments.
